Vietnamese Minister attends closing ceremony of EXPO Shanghai 2010

VGP - At the invitation of the Chinese Government, Minister-Chairman of the Vietnamese Office of Government Nguyễn Xuân Phúc attended the closing ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo 2010 and visited Shanghai from October 29 to November 1.

During his stay in China, Mr. Phúc met with Chairman of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Political Consultative Conference Feng Guoqin.

The Vietnamese minister highly appreciated the cooperative relations between Hồ Chí Minh City and Shanghai, and proposed the Chinese city expand cooperation with other Vietnamese big cities, strengthen economic, trade, investment and tourism ties with Việt Nam, and encourage enterprises to beef up cooperation on infrastructure construction.

Mr. Feng said he will assign relevant agencies of Shanghai to coordinate with Vietnamese counterparts to implement the Vietnamese minister’s proposals.

Mr. Phúc also attended the high-level World Expo Forum and visited some Chinese firms in the city.
