Việt Nam pledges to create favorable conditions for Mexican investors to do business in the country
The seminar was held by the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico, the American Market Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade (COMCE).

Mr. Sergio Ley from COMCE said at the event that many Mexican companies are deeply interested in Việt Nam, an economy growing considerably in recent years.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexcico, Mr. Phạm Văn Quế, said Việt Nam's investment policies are very open and flexible. He pledged to create favorable conditions in terms of information and procedures for Mexican investors to do business in the country.

At the seminar, Vietnamese government and corporate officials met with Mexican entrepreneurs, answering their questions about investment, import, export policies, customs procedures, information access and Vietnamese culture.

The two-way trade value between Việt Nam and Mexico reached over US $650 million in 2009. It is expected to surpass the US $1-billion mark in the coming years.
