Vietnamese, Korean firms to produce aluminum

VGP - The Việt Nam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) and the Korean company Dongyang Gangchul wil cooperate in producing aluminum in Việt Nam.

According to a cooperative pact signed on October 26 in Hà Nội, the two firms will jointly implement projects to build an aluminum electrolysis plant, a power plant to feed the aluminum plant and aluminum product facilities.

At the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Lê Dương Quang and RoK Ambassador to Việt Nam Ha Chan-ho said the economic, trade and investment ties between the two countries will develop in the coming time.

The Republic of Korea is Việt Nam’s 4th biggest export market, and has some 2,800 investment projects with total registered capital of over US $23 billion in the country.
