Vietfish exhibition opens in HCMC

VGP – The Việt Nam International Fisheries Exhibition (Vietfish 2011), the biggest of its kind, kicked off on Tuesday in Hồ Chí Minh City with the participation of 190 enterprises from 15 countries and territories.

With 300 booths, the domestic and foreign enterprises are displaying their end products along with modern technology solutions in service of fisheries during a three-day exhibition.

Out of the participating enterprises, 70% are involved in aquaculture, and the rest is engaged in producing additives and machines for the fish processing industry.

A series of workshops will be organized during Vietfish 2011, namely “Traceability for the Global Food Industry”, “Seafood Markets Watch”, “Ensuring Safety for Vietnamese Aqua-products to Access Key Export Market”, and Transportation Solutions to Reefer Containers from Mekong Delta to Hồ Chí Minh City Ports and Transit to Cambodia./.
