Viet Nam’s response to Cambodia's withdrawal from CLV Development Triangle Area
VGP - The solidarity, friendship, and trust among the three countries—Viet Nam, Laos, and Cambodia—is a valuable asset for all three nations.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang made the above statement in reply to a reporter's inquiry about Viet Nam's response to Cambodia's withdrawal from the Cambodia-Laos-Viet Nam Development Triangle Area (CLV-DTA).
She said Viet Nam, Laos, and Cambodia have several cooperation mechanisms, including the CLV-DTA. Each mechanism has its own value and contribution to fostering friendly relations and promoting the development of all three countries.
Over the past 25 years, the CLV-DTA mechanism has contributed to fostering traditional relations, economic and trade cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges, as well as helped narrow the development gap and improve the living standards of their people, emphasized Pham.
Viet Nam will continue to consult with Laos and Cambodia to promote intensive, substantive, and effective cooperation among the three countries, in line with the development requirements of the new phase, for the benefit of their people, for the ASEAN Community, and for peace, cooperation, and development in the region, reiterated the spokesperson./.
