The brand winners will be announced on November 2 in Ha Noi at the eighth selection of national brands for the Viet Nam Value Program.

According to the organising board, the eighth selection of national brands has attracted over 1,000 businesses in different sectors since the launch over nine months ago.

Mr. Hoang Minh Chien, Deputy Head of the MoIT's Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency was quoted as saying that the number of firm winners grew 48 in comparison with 124 ones in 2020.

Especially, 64 enterprises are recognized as national brands for the first time, accounting for 37.2 percent of the total number of enterprise winners.

In addition, 19 enterprises have been honored for eight consecutive times since the first selection was held in 2008.

The products that won the Viet Nam National Brand in 2022 are very diverse in many different fields and industries.

Earlier, a report by Brand Finance - the world's leading brand valuation consulting company showed that the value rose from US$ 247 billion in 2019 to US$ 388 billion in 2021 and US$ 431 billion in 2022.

In rankings, Viet Nam jumped from the 42nd position in 2019 to the 33rd in 2021 and the 32nd in 2022.

Experts attributed the results to the sound guidelines and policies by the Party and the State, and the drastic management by the Government in economic, political, diplomatic, cultural and social activities, helping to raise the value and position of the Vietnamese brand in the international arena.

The positive effects of the Viet Nam National Brand Program (Viet Nam Value), launched in 2003 have also contributed to promoting Viet Nam as a country with high-quality goods and services and strengthen Vietnamese businesses' competitiveness locally and internationally./.
