Viet Nam welcomes U.S.-Iran ceasefire
VGP - Viet Nam welcomes the ceasefire reached between the U.S. and Iran on April 7, said Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang.

Pham described the ceasefire as an important step forward in reducing tensions and restoring peace, stability, security and safety in the Middle East.
Viet Nam calls on relevant sides to exercise restraint, take responsible actions, not to complicate the sitution; respect independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries; ensure security and safety for civilians and civil infrastructure as well as maritime safety and freedom in the region, said the Spokesperson.
She also calls on the relevant sides to actively engage in dialogues to seek peaceful solutions to differences on the basis of the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, for their own benefits, and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world./.
