Viet Nam welcomes UNIQLO’s plans on distribution channel expansion, talent training
VGP - The Vietnamese Government welcomes and pledges to create favorable conditions for foreign investors including Japanese ones to expand production and establish partnership with local producers, said Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh.
Pham made the point during his reception for Fast Retailing Executive Vice President Noriaki Koyama in Ha Noi on July 19.
He said he was pleased to witness the developments in the strategic partnership between Viet Nam and Japan.
Japan remains one of Viet Nam’s leading economic partners, biggest ODA provider, and third largest investor, fourth biggest trading partner.
Pham congratulated Fast Retailing, a leading Japanese retail
Since its first debut in Viet Nam in 2019, UNIQLO has become one of eight most populous fashion brands in the Southeast Asian country.
Pham took the occasion to praise Fast Retailing’s plans to expand its business network nationwide and promote domestic production and talent development here.
In reply, the Fast Retailing Executive Vice President reiterated the group’s commitments to expansion of distribution channels, promotion of partnership with local producers, and talent training.
Regarding the retail sale system, UNIQLO Viet Nam has opened and operated 12 stores nationwide and set up partnership with dozens of local garment and textile partners to raise output here.
Fast Retailing and UNIQLO Viet Nam will sign memoranda of understanding with Vietnamese universities to recruit and train manpower for its own business operation around the world in the coming time./.
