At the policy dialogue, Nguyen affirmed Viet Nam's consistent stance of attaching importance to strengthening cooperation with North Korea, aiming for more robust and substantive developments across various fields, in accordance with international law and aligning with the aspirations of their peoples, contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and worldwide.

Nguyen and Pak Sang Gil, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of North Korea, expressed satisfaction with the recent developments in the bilateral relations across various fields, including politics, diplomacy, defense, security, culture, and sports.

Both sides agreed to continue promoting delegation exchanges, thereby strengthening political trust and expanding substantive cooperation between the two countries.

They vowed to join hands in making preparations for organizing activities in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties by 2025.

The two diplomats underlined the need to step up coordination in areas such as culture, sports, and tourism as well as create conditions for expanding interactions and cooperation through various channels, including local-to-local linkages, to further deepen the traditional friendship between the two nations.

Both sides also discussed regional and international issues of mutual concerns, including the maintenance of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the East Sea.

They pledged to foster stronger ties and support each other at international and regional forums such as the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF).

The two sides agreed to hold the next policy dialogue in Viet Nam in the near future.

During his visit to North Korea, the Vietnamese diplomat paid a courtesy call on North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Song-hui, and had working sessions with Director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of North Korea and Vice Minister of External Economic Relations./.
