Viet Nam to have two public holidays in April

These public holidays are: (i) Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day holiday, (ii) Reunification Day – International Workers’ Day.

Specifically, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day falls on Sunday (April 26 ). Due to coinciding with the weekend, workers get compensatory leave on Monday (April 27). Including the two weekend days, the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday lasts three days, from Saturday (April 25) to the end of Monday (April 27).

The two major holidays of April 30 and May 1 of 2026 fall on Thursday and Friday. Thus, workers shall enjoy four consecutive days off, from April 30 to the end of May 3./.
