Viet Nam sustains efforts to faciliate entry of foreign tourists and investors
VGP - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) will continue working with relevant ministries and agencies to consider and put forward suitable immigration policies, said MoFa Deputy Spokesperson Doan Khac Viet.
The diplomat made the above statement on September 8 at MoFA's press briefing when he was asked about visa issuance for foreigners who wish to enter Viet Nam.
Viet Nam resumed visa waiver for tourists from 13 countries namely Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus from March 15, 2021 after the country managed to contain the COVID-19 pandemic.
Under the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Viet Nam, foreigners wishing to enter Viet Nam to work for domestic firms or projects must apply for visas at the Ministry of Public Security's Immigration Department.
Types of visa and visa durations are decided by the department. Once approved, visas can be obtained at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad./.
