Viet Nam Statistical Development Strategy for 2021-2030 approved

VGP – Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has signed a Decision approving the Viet Nam Statistical Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period, and vision to 2045.

The overall goals of the strategy include:

(i) Modernizing the statistics sector with proper organizational structure, high quality human resource, and modern statistical technologies;

(ii) Developing and publishing statistical information in line with international standards and practices;

(iii) Formulating the national centralized and quality statistical information system.

The statistics sector is oriented to reach the development level of the most advanced countries in ASEAN by 2030 and become a modern modern statistics system by 2045.

Around 85 percent of paper questionnaires will be replaced with online ones by 2025 and the figure will rise to 95 percent by 2030. 

The satisfaction rate of users using micro-statistical data is expected reach 30 percent by 2025 and 60 percent by 2030./.
