Viet Nam sets up first free trade zone
VGP – The Government has decided to establish a free trade zone (FTZ) in the central city of Da Nang, the first of its kind in Viet Nam.

Covering an area of around 1,881ha, the FTZ features functional areas covering production-logistics, trade-services, digital technology industries, innovation.
The FTZ is designed to bolster the development of high-tech industries, innovation and digital transformation in the central city.
It is also expected to turn Da Nang into an important hub of supply chain networks in the Asia-Pacific region and the world.
In addition to the FTZ, the Government is also mulling over the establishment of an International Financial Center (IFC) in Da Nang.
With its strategic location near major Asian financial hubs, modern infrastructure, dynamic business environment, and high quality of life, Da Nang is well-positioned to become a regional financial node./.
