Viet Nam resumes air routes to China after three-year pandemic halt
VGP – The national flag carrier, Viet Nam Airlines, announced Friday that it has restarted its first regular commercial flight to China after nearly three-year halt due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The resumption of the first regular flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Guangzhou, will be followed by services between Ha Noi and Shanghai from December 12 with a frequency of two flights per week (every Monday and Friday), and between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai from December 14 with a frequency of one flight per week (every Thursday).
With the latest move, Viet Nam Airlines have restarted flights to almost all of its international destinations, raising the total number of weekly flights to 600, equipment to 70 percent of its pre-pandemic level.
Passengers are requested to acquire proof of COVID-19 Negative Test Result 48 hours before departure and wear N95 respirator masks./.
