Viet Nam reports additional 16,948 COVID-19 cases

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 16,948 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, raising the national patient tally to 1,763,040.

The same day, the ministry reported 14,420 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 1,372,696.

The ministry also announced further 221 fatalities, bringing the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 32,831 or 1.9 percent of the total infections.

The nation has administered 152,818,575 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 592,352 doses from Saturday./.
