Viet Nam reports 9,849 new COVID-19 cases

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 9,849 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, raising the national patient tally to 1,055,246.

The latest patients comprise 10 imported cases and 9,839 domestic infections in 56 cities and provinces, namely Ho Chi Minh City (1,337), Dong Nai (664), Binh Duong (601), An Giang (527), Tien Giang (526), Binh Thuan (489), Dong Thap (489), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (428), Kien Giang (396), Tay Ninh (376), Soc Trang (364), Bac Lieu (323), Vinh Long (290), Ca Mau (233), Ha Noi (218), Binh Phuoc (217), Dak Lak (188), Ben Tre (180), Long An (153), Tra Vinh (152), Can Tho (145), Khanh Hoa (144), Ha Giang (134), Bac Ninh (107), Thua Thien-Hue (96), Hau Giang (94), Binh Dinh (87), Hai Duong (81), Bac Giang (79), Quang Ninh (79), Nghe An (77), Quang Nam (70), Thai Binh (60), Nam Dinh (51), Da Nang (37), Quang Ngai (36), Ninh Thuan (34), Dak Nong (32), Quang Binh (29), Thanh Hoa (29), Tuyen Quang (25), Ninh Binh (19), Ha Nam (18), Phu Tho (17), Cao Bang (16), Quang Tri (15), Ha Tinh (14), Phu Yen (13), Hung Yen (12), Vinh Phuc (11), Hai Phong (7), Kon Tum (7), Hoa Binh (6), Thai Nguyen (3), Dien Bien (3), and Lao Cai (1).

The same day, the ministry reported 3,873 new recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 874,870. Among the current patients, 4,338 are in critical conditions.

The ministry also announced further 67 fatalities in Ho Chi Minh City (26), Binh Duong (12), An Giang (7), Tay Ninh (4), Long An (4), Can Tho (3), Soc Trang (3), Binh Thuan (2), Bac Lieu (2), Ha Noi (1), Vinh Long (1), Ba Ria-Vung Tau (1), and Dong Thap (1), bringing the nation’s death toll to 23,337, representing 2.2 percent of the national caseload.

The nation has administered 102,030,576 domestic infections, an increase of 1,097,539 doses from Tuesday./.
