To Lam described the Polish leader's visit to Viet Nam as an important milestone that opens up a new phase in Viet Nam-Poland relations, affirming that Viet Nam treasures and wishes to further consolidate and deepen its ties with Poland - a traditional and trusted friend and one of Viet Nam's leading partners in Central and Eastern Europe.

The two countries share many common interests and possess complementary strengths and development potential, providing a firm basis for promoting comprehensive cooperation, while enabling Poland to play its role as an important gateway for Viet Nam to enhance its engagement with Europe, noted the host.

He underscored the significance of the two countries' decision to officially elevate their relations into a Strategic Partnership, establishing a new framework and creating fresh momentum for expanding cooperation across various fields.

To  Lam called on both sides to effectively implement the agreements reached and further strengthen political trust and maintain all-level regular delegation exchanges, thereby enhancing coordination and substantive discussions on issues of mutual concern.

Viet Nam stands ready to create favorable conditions for Polish businesses to expand their investment and establish long-term operations in the country, particularly in areas where Poland has strengths, including processing and manufacturing industries, food processing, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, environmental protection, minerals, transport, logistics and modern infrastructure development, shared the host.

To Lam called for fostering bilateral cooperation in seaport development, maritime logistics, shipbuilding, marine science and marine environmental protection, while strengthening maritime workforce training and sharing experience in maritime economic governance.

He also called for more practical and effective cooperation in defense and security, including exploring opportunities in defense industry and production of defense and security-related equipment, in accordance with each country's needs, conditions and policies, making contributions to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and around the world.

The top Vietnamese leader stressed that cooperation in science and technology and innovation should be prioritized, with a focus on high-potential, high-value-added fields such as AI, digital technology, cybersecurity and biotechnology.

To Lam expressed his hope that the two countries would expand cooperation in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, microbiology, and research and development of medicines.

He suggested Poland continue increasing scholarships for Vietnamese students and postgraduate researchers, particularly in basic sciences, engineering, high technology, logistics, digital transformation, medicine and pharmaceuticals, maritime affairs and defense industry.

He underscored the importance of strengthening people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in culture, sports and education to further build on the traditional friendship between the two nations and create more opportunities for their people, especially younger generations, to deepen mutual understanding and forge closer bonds.

Tusk, for his part, reiterated that Viet Nam is Poland's leading partner in Southeast Asia and one of its most important partners in Asia.

He promised that the Polish Government would work closely with Viet Nam to promptly implement the agreements reached during his ongoing visit, particularly in such areas as economics and trade, science and technology, defense and security, industry, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, tourism and AI.

Both sides welcomed the decision by LOT Polish Airlines to resume direct air service between the two countries, describing it as an important step towards promoting people-to-people exchanges, tourism, trade and bilateral investment.

The two leaders expressed confidence that building on their traditional friendship, strong political trust and the newly established Strategic Partnership framework, as well as the political determination and joint efforts of their leaders and peoples, the bilateral relations would continue to grow strongly and deepen further, delivering tangible benefits to their peoples while making positive contributions to peace, stability and development in the regions and around the world./.
