Viet Nam opposes Australian companies’ issuance of items with “yellow flag”
VGP - Viet Nam regrets and resolutely opposes that the Royal Australia Mint and Australia Post have issued items with the image of a “yellow flag”, the flag of a defunct regime, said Foreign Ministry’s Deputy Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang.

The diplomat made the remarks on May 4 in response to reporters’ question about Viet Nam’s reaction to the issue.
The move is totally unsuitable to the sound development trend of the Viet Nam-Australia strategic partnership, Pham said.
According to the Deputy Spokesperson, Viet Nam has discussed the issue with the Australian side, requesting it to take measures to cease the circulation of those items and prevent similar incidents in the future./.
