Tran spoke highly of Viet Nam-Mexico cooperation through Party, State and people-to-people channels, expressing his delight at the positive developments in bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy, trade and investment, which have made Mexico one of Viet Nam's leading trading partners in Latin America.

Tran reiterated that Viet Nam always attaches importance to Mexico's role and its position in Latin America, expressing his wish to further develop the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries towards a strong and substantive manner, for the benefit of their peoples and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The top Vietnamese leader hailed the role of the PT in Mexico's political landscape and welcomed the establishment of the Mexico-Viet Nam Parliamentary Friendship Group, with the PT lawmakers playing a core role.

He emphasized that strengthening ties between the two Parliamentary Friendship Groups, as well as between the committees of the two countries' legislative bodies, would enhance connectivity between the two legislative bodies and contribute to elevating the bilateral relations to a new level.

Gutierrez, for his part, expressed his deep admiration for Viet Nam's achievements under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam during the Doi Moi process, as well as in the struggle for the liberation of southern Vietnam and national reunification.

He affirmed that the PT and he personally always attach importance to consolidating and further expanding the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two Parties, the two legislatures and the peoples in the time ahead.

Both sides vowed to strengthen coordination and promote exchanges of delegations between the Vietnamese National Assembly and Mexico's Senate and Chamber of Deputies, share law-making experience, and further promote the role of the two countries' parliamentary friendship groups./.
