Viet Nam, Laos sign cooperation agreements in Vientiane
VGP - A number of cooperation agreements was signed in Vientiane, Laos, on February 5, to strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic linkage between the two nations.

The agreements were inked in the presence of General Secretary To Lam and Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith following their summit meeting held on the same day.
These documents include:
(i) The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Education and Training of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos on the establishment of the Viet Nam University in Laos;
(ii) The Minutes of handover of a set of Vietnamese-language textbooks and a set of products under the project on incorporating the content of products from the historical work on the special Viet Nam–Laos and Laos–Viet Nam relationship into teaching in schools of both countries;
(iii) The 2026 cooperation program between the Ministry of Justice of Viet Nam and the Ministry of Justice of Laos;
(iv) The Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Viet Nam's Phu Tho Province and three Lao localities, namely Luang Namtha Province, Bokeo Province and Luang Prabang Province./.
