Viet Nam enjoys trade surplus of US$2.5 bln in four months
VGP - Viet Nam recorded a trade surplus of US$2.53 billion in the first four months of this year, doubling that of the same period last year, indicating continued recovery.

Though trade surplus with the EU rose 31.6 percent to US$10.4 billion, the Southeast Asian country reported trade deficit with China (US$18 billion), the Republic of Korea (US$15.2 billion), ASEAN (US$5.8 billion) and Japan (US$790 million).
The nation's total exports and imports were estimated at US$122.36 billion and US$119.83 billion, representing respective year-on-year increases of 16.4 percent and 15.7 percent, the General Statistics Office reported Friday.
In April alone, the nation gained US$33.26 billion from exporting, up 25 percent on year.
During the reviewed period, the U.S. remained the largest importer of Vietnamese goods with US$35.7 billion while China was the largest import market of Viet Nam with the total turnover of US$37.1 billion./.
