Viet Nam donates 3 tons of medical equipment to support Myanmar earthquake recovery efforts
VGP - Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security on April 1 delivered nearly 3 tons of medicine and medical equipment to Myanmar to help alleviate the aftermath of a recent powerful earthquake.

Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department under the Ministry of Public Security presented these medicine and supplies to Director of the Department of Natural Disaster Management, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement of Myanmar Sa Weli Frag for the country to overcome this difficult period.
The medicine and equipment included antibiotics, digestive medicines, flu medications, as well as basic healthcare devices such as blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, pulse oximeters (SpO2), stretchers, bandages, gauze, and disinfectants. Additionally, the supplies included materials for epidemic prevention, such as mosquito repellent spray tanks and insecticides.
Frag expressed sincere gratitude for the support and assistance from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security's relief delegation. He mentioned that the medicine and medical equipment would be immediately transferred to the Ministry of Health of Myanmar to be delivered directly to the affected areas that are facing shortages of medicine and medical supplies.
As of noon April 1, the rescue forces of the Vietnamese military and police found four bodies of victims under the rubble of the collapsed building and brought them out.
On March 31, Myanmar’s state media reported that the death toll reached 2,065 while more than 3,900 were injured and over 270 missing. The military government declared a week-long mourning period from March 31./.
