VGP – There were 17,000 COVID-19 cases over the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reported this afternoon.

In addition, the southern province of Ca Mau confirmed additional 2,868 infections, according to the ministry, bringing the national patient tally to 1,714,742.

The same day, the ministry reported 34,102 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 1,336,644.

The ministry also announced further 240 fatalities, raising the nation’s COVID-19 death toll to 32,168, or 1.9 percent of the total infections.

The nation has administered 149,318,658 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 1,070,466 doses from Wednesday./.
