Viet Nam considers COVID-19 vaccination for children over five
VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the Ministry of Health to mull a plan to vaccinate children over five.

The Government chief made the request on December 5 at a meeting on research, import, and production of COVID-19 vaccine and drugs.
Pham stressed that the vaccine strategy has proved fruitful, with 94 percent of the target groups receiving at least the first shots and 69 percent the second jabs.
He stressed the importance of comprehensive assessment on COVID-19 vaccines and drugs in line with pandemic situations, and asked for faster vaccine rollout to ensure that adult population will be fully vaccinated by late December.
The PM also ordered subordinate levels to give booster shots to the elderly, frontline and medical workers while creating the best possible conditions for the manufacturing of vaccines the sake of people’s health.
As of December 6, the nation has administered 127,828,796 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 396,664 from Sunday./.
