Viet Nam commits to reducing carbon emissions to zero by 2050
VGP – Viet Nam commits to reducing carbon emission to zero by 2050 and calls for fairness and justice in climate change issues, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

PM Pham made the above statement at his meeting with leaders of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday.
As one of the countries hit hardest by climate change, Viet Nam has tried its best to advance green growth and adapt to climate change in a sustainable manner, Pham stressed.
He also called on the international community to support human resource development, improve governance capacity, and provide green finance and green technologies to help Viet Nam facilitate transition to green energy and green growth.
The same day, Pham also met with President and CEO of the wind farm group Orsted and CEO of Lego Niels Christiansen./.
