The Deputy Prime Minister made the call on Wednesday in Ha Noi while addressing the Viet Nam-Japan Economic Forum 2023 which was jointly held by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) on the occasion of the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties between Japan and Viet Nam.

Tran suggested the two countries accelerate digital cooperation, share experience in digital transformation and business administration, and build development research centers in Viet Nam.

The Vietnamese Government, said Mr. Tran, pledged to stand by and create favorable conditions for Japanese enterprises to do long-term business here.

Japan is the largest provider of official development assistance, the second largest importer of manpower, the third largest source of foreign direct investment and the fourth biggest trade partner of Viet Nam.

The forum aims at cementing collaboration between the two countries in various fields, particularly economic domain. It also offers a good opportunity for Vietnamese startups to seek partnerships with their Japanese peers.

Since Viet Nam and Japan established their diplomatic relations on September 21,1973, the two countries have enjoyed fruitful cooperation in various areas such as politics, economy, culture, people-to-people exchange, among others./.
