At 6 a.m. on September 19, the storm's center is about 173km southeast of the central city of Da Nang and 190km east of Quang Tri province.

It is moving westward at the speed of 20-25km over the next three hours, potentially impacting the north central Viet Nam.

It is anticipated that the north central region will experience rainfall of 100-300mm, or even 500mm on September 19-20.

On September 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged Chairmen of the People's Committees of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh to closely monitor and update regularly the evolution of the low depression in order to take timely response measures./.
