Viet Nam, Australia exchange 12 crucial cooperation agreements
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese exchanged the joint statement on the elevation of Viet Nam-Australia relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The ceremony took place in Canberra, Australia, on March 7, on the occasion of the Vietnamese Prime Minister's three-day official visit to Australia.
The two Prime Ministers also witnessed the signing ceremony of 11 crucial cooperation agreements in various sectors, including:
(1) Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on education cooperation between the two education ministries
(2) MoU between the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Australian Department of Industry, Science and Resources on the establishment of the ministerial-level dialogue on energy and minerals
(3) MoU between the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research on agricultural research to enhance agricultural, forestry and fishery cooperation
(4) MoU between the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization on cooperation in science, technology and innovation
(5) MoU between the State Bank of Viet Nam and the Reserve Bank of Australia
(6) Peacekeeping Partnership Arrangement between the Governments of Viet Nam and Australia
(7) MoU on finance cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance and the Australian Department of the Treasury
(8) Plan to implement the MoU between the Governments of Australia and Viet Nam on supporting Vietnamese citizens working in the agricultural sector in Australia
(9) MoU between the Viet Nam Competition Commission and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission
(10) MoU between the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Agency and the Australian Trade and Investment Commission
(11) Cooperation agreement on coral reef monitoring between the Vietnamese Institute of Oceanography and the Australian Institute of Marine Science./.
