Viet Nam attends largest int’l land, air-land defence, security exhibition in Paris
VGP - A delegation of the Ministry of Defence led by Senior Lieutenant General Phung Si Tan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People's Army (VPA), is attending EUROSATORY 2024, the largest international exhibition for the land and air-land defence and security industry underway in France from June 17-21.

At the Eurosatory Exhibition, besides visiting the booths, Senior Lieutenant General Phung Sy Tan and the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense delegation attended the official reception of the Organizing Committee chaired by French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
Also, the Delegation received a courtesy call on Major General Stéphane Richou, Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of international relations of the French Army; joining sideline meetings with Lieutenant General Eric Peltier, Director of the Department of International Cooperation/Joint Staff and with Brigadier General Caroline Salahun, Regional Director for Asia-Pacific/Armament Agency.
At the meetings, the Vietnamese Delegation and French representatives shared the recent Viet Nam-France defense cooperation relationship, which has been promoted by the leaders of both sides and achieved many positive results.
The two sides agreed to continue promoting defense cooperation in the coming time, focusing training, military medicine, United Nations peacekeeping, historical memory and defense industry.
Senior Lieutenant General Phung Sy Tan requested that the two sides' agencies coordinate to effectively implement the contents, identified during Minister Sébastien Lecornu's visit to Viet Nam and participation in the 70th Anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (1954-2024).
He asked the French Ministry of Armed Forces to support this country's defense enterprises to participate in the 2nd Viet Nam International Defense Exhibition, which will be held in December 2024, on the occasion of the 80th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024) and the 35th anniversary of the All-People's National Defence Day (December 22, 1989 - 2024).
The French side sincerely thanks the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense for accepting the invitation and sending a large delegation to attend EUROSATORY 2024.
They believe that this visit will contribute to promoting cooperation in the field of defense in general and defense industry cooperation in particular./.
