Boluarte held that Peru was honored to welcome President Luong Cuong and the high-level Vietnamese delegation to visit and attend the APEC 2024 Economic Leaders' Week.
She expressed her wish to visit Viet Nam soon and vowed to instruct relevant Peruvian ministries and agencies to coordinate with their Vietnamese counterparts to concretize the outcomes of President Luong Cuong's visit, with a particular focus on promoting trade and investment cooperation.
She spoke highly of the significant contributions of Viettel Group through the Bitel project, expecting that Bitel would continue to expand its investment in Peru.
Boluarte also proposed that the two countries work together to effectively leverage the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
Pham, for his part, said that Viet Nam treasures and hopes to foster the muti-faceted relations with Peru, proposing that the Peruvian Government continue to facilitate Vietnamese enterprises to bolster collaboration and investment in the country, contributing to the nation's development and serving the interests of the Peruvian people.
Both sides should consider expanding cooperation into potential areas, including agriculture, oil and gas, and mining, suggested Pham.
The two leaders expressed their pleasure at the growing political trust and increased high-level exchanges between the two countries in recent times, especially via the State visit to Peru by President Luong Cuong in November 2024.
Both leaders discussed measures to foster stronger ties at multilateral forums and international and regional issues of common concerns.
They pledged to join hands to uphold and respect international law and the United Nations (UN) Charter, promote trade liberalization, enhance South-South cooperation, and support each other's candidacies for key bodies of the UN and other international organizations./.
