According to the magazine, Viet Nam, in East Asia, has a reputation for being one of the world's calmest nations. This makes it one of the best countries to visit in East Asia.

Viet Nam thrives with youthful vitality, its paddy fields and floating marketplaces only add to its attraction. Stunning natural beauty and deep history, accessible through numerous historical monuments and a vibrant culture, make this country one of the best in Southeast Asia.

"Ha Noi's Pho noodles, the karst islands of Ha Long Bay, the caves of Phong Nha, and the Mekong River are just a few of Viet Nam's many tourist attractions," The Travel suggested.

Viet Nam served nearly 7.6 million international holiday-makers in the first five months of this year, up 64.9 percent year-on-year and 3.9 percent compared to the same period in 2019 before the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, the General Statistics Office (GSO) reported.

According to a report from the World Economic Forum (WEF), Viet Nam's tourism climbed eight places in its Travel and Tourism Development Index between 2019 and 2021, making it one of the three biggest improvers in the world.

In 2024, the country ranked 59 among the 119 economies nationwide, reaching 3.96 points, down three places compared to 2021./.
