Le made the above statement during his meeting with President of the Lao National Assembly Sonexay Siphandone in Ha Noi on November 3, as part of the latter's four-day official visit to Viet Nam.

The Prime Minister warmly welcomed Sonexay on his first official visit to Viet Nam in his new capacity as the top Lao legislator, describing the visit as a vivid example of the close fraternal ties between the two legislative bodies and the shared commitment of the two Parties and States' leaders to strengthening bilateral relations.

He noted that the visit would help reinforce political trust, promote exchanges between the two countries' leaders and deepen cooperation between the two legislative bodies. He also expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended to him and his delegation during their official visit to Laos in October.

Congratulating Laos on its significant achievements in implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Prime Minister Le praised the country's efforts to maintain political stability, social order and safety, and promote economic growth.

Prime Minister Le affirmed that the Vietnamese Government stands ready to work closely with its Lao counterpart in infrastructure development, energy and digital transformation.

He called for prioritizing transport connectivity, seaports, border gates and logistics infrastructure to facilitate trade and investment and enhance regional connectivity, while strengthening cooperation in education, training and human resource development.

The two sides should also step up people-to-people exchanges and effectively coordinate activities within the framework of the "Viet Nam-Laos Year of Solidarity and Friendship 2027", with an aim to raise public awareness, particularly among younger generations, of the long-standing tradition of solidarity and friendship between the two peoples, he said.

For his part, Sonexay congratulated Viet Nam on its major and comprehensive achievements, particularly its positive socio-economic performance in the first 10 months of 2026.

He expressed confidence that Viet Nam would continue to maintain strong growth momentum and successfully implement the targets set out in the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.

The Lao National Assembly would continue working closely with its Vietnamese counterpart and accompany the two Governments in effectively implementing high-level agreements, cooperation accords and key economic projects, he affirmed.

Sonexay stressed that the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic cohesion between Viet Nam and Laos constitute an invaluable asset and an important foundation for the stability and development of each country./.
