Viet Nam always considers World Bank top development partner

VGP - Viet Nam considers the World Bank a top development partner, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang said in his reception for World Bank Country Director for Viet Nam Carolyn Turk in Ha Noi on April 4.

Tran appreciated the World Bank's support for Viet Nam through preferential loans worth around US$25 billion so far along with technical assistance and policy consultancy, which positively contributed to Viet Nam's socio-economic development since 1993 to now.

He also appreciated the role of Turk as Country Director in securing major programmes and projects funded by the World Bank which helped create growth impetus for Viet Nam's localities.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran expressed a hope for further development of the Viet Nam-World Bank partnership in the future, and affirmed that Viet Nam's ministries and sectors will actively coordinate with the World Bank in building the Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for 2023-2027.

For her part, Turk affirmed that the World Bank will continue to accompany the Vietnamese Government in the next phase of development, work with Viet Nam in building the Viet Nam 2045 report, and help Viet Nam realize its development goals./.
