Viet Nam, Albania sign MoU on labor cooperation
VGP - Viet Nam and Albania have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on labor cooperation, paving the way for Viet Nam to send workers to the European nation.

The MoU was inked by Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang and Albanian Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj in Ha Noi on July 29.
Addressing the signing ceremony, Vu emphasized the significance of the MoU which formulates an official framework for cooperation between the two ministries in the field of labor.
The MoU is expected to expand and diversify overseas labor markets towards a safe, transparent, efficient, and sustainable manner.
Under the MoU, Vietnamese workers will be guaranteed equal treatment in employment relations and will enjoy wages, working conditions, and welfare benefits in accordance with Albanian law.
Moreover, Vietnamese workers going to Albania will not be required to pay any pre-departure fees, as employers will bear all such costs on their behalf. This provides an important foundation for promoting fair, transparent, and ethical recruitment practices while safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
Albania has a demand for approximately 20,000–30,000 foreign workers, including those from Viet Nam, particularly those with vocational skills and foreign language proficiency.
Viet Nam dispatched 53,159 workers abroad under labor contracts in the first five months of 2026, hitting 47.5 percent of its full-year target./.
