Ha Noi emerges as the current biggest COVID-19 hotspot with daily number of new cases rising from 1,748 on January 1 to 2,811 on Sunday

The same day, the ministry confirmed additional 7,402 cases reported by the southern province of Binh Phuoc.

With these new cases, the national patient tally rose to 1,899,575, including 1,500,248 recoveries and 34,319 deaths, said the ministry.

The ministry also announced 160,033,187 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered./.
