Viet Nam welcomes the U.S. to back ASEAN's central role and join hands with ASEAN Member States to promote the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific and participate in negotiations for the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) in an open, inclusive, balanced, and mutually beneficial manner, which takes into account the conditions of developing countries like Viet Nam, Nguyen said.

Viet Nam continues to coordinate with the U.S. and partners to enhance peace, cooperation and sustainable development in the Mekong subregion, said the Party leader, adding that Viet Nam welcomes the efforts of the international community, including the U.S. in climate change adaption and hoping that the U.S. would continue to support Viet Nam's efforts in this issue.
