UN Secretary-General congratulates Viet Nam's new President
VGP - UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres conveyed his congratulations to General To Lam on his election as the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
Viet Nam's new President To Lam
During his phone talks with Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Viet Nam's Permanent Representative to the UN, on May 23, Guterres said he is convinced that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), the State and President To Lam, Vietnamese people will attain more achievements across all spheres, particularly the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs).
The UN Secretary-General also expected to meet with the new Vietnamese President in the time ahead to further promote the good relations between Viet Nam and the UN.
On this occasion, leaders of Russia, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Palestine and Sri Lanka extended congratulations to To Lam on his election as the President of Viet Nam by the 15th National Assembly./.
