Two solar power projects licensed in Ba Ria-Vung Tau
VGP - The People’s Committee of the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has given the green light to two companies to build two solar power plants with a total investment of more than VND1.5 trillion (US$64.66 million) in the province.

Meanwhile, the DTD Natural Energy Investment Co Ltd will build a 35 MWp solar power plant on 40 ha of water surface in Gia Hoet 1 reservoir at total cost of VND766 billion.
Both the plants are located in Quang Thanh commune, Chau Duc district.
The provincial administration requires the investors to ensure that construction work will not affect the quality of water and structure in the reservoirs as well as the landscape of the areas.
Ba Ria – Vung Tau has favorable conditions for renewable energy. On average, it has from 2,000 to 2,600 sunny hours per year, with radiant intensity of about 5.47kWh per square meter per day.
