According to the CAAV, due to flooding on a series of rivers in Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa during November 19–20, with some exceeding historical records, roads leading to Tuy Hoa Airport were isolated and the power system was completely shut down.

The airport is urgently implementing measures to protect airport equipment to ensure the safety of flight operations, people, and property, while minimizing negative impacts on flight activities.

As of November 20, heavy rains and landslides in central localities have left 21 people dead or missing. Of these, 16 have been confirmed dead, including 2 in Hue, 1 in Da Nang, 1 in Dak Lak, 11 in Khanh Hoa, and 1 in Gia Lai.

Five people remain missing in Quang Tri, Khanh Hoa, and Da Nang.

By 5 p.m. on November 19, a total of 28,756 houses had been flooded, with the heaviest impact in Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa. Authorities reported that seven provinces and cities of Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Lam Dong have evacuated 6,069 households, totaling 19,078 people to shelters./.
