Tropical depression heading to central coast

VGP – A tropical depression formed in the East Sea is now heading to the central coastal provinces from Quang Binh to Binh Dinh at the speed of 20km per hour and may strengthen into a storm.

The possible path of the tropical depression in the next hours

At 4pm on September 12, the tropical depression was centered at latitude 14.6 North, longitude 110.7 East, about 170km offshore from Quang Nam and Binh Dinh, packing winds of 50-60km per hour, according to the National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.

The tropical depression is forecast to move West-Northwest in the next hours.

Localities from Da Nang to Phu Yen have experienced heavy rains and strong winds from September 12./.
