Trade volume exceeds US$600 billion
VGP – Viet Nam's trade with the rest of the world reached US$619.17 in the first 11 months this year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The above figure includes US$322,50 billion in export turnover, a year-on-year decrease of 5.9 percent.
The U.S. remained the largest importer of Vietnamese goods, with US$88 billion while China was the top exporter to Viet Nam, with US$99.6 billion.
Viet Nam recorded a trade surplus of US$75.5 billion with the U.S., US$26.2 billion with the European Union, US$1.5 billion with Japan while posting trade deficit of US$43.7 billion, US$26.3 billion with South Korea, and US$8.1 billion with ASEAN.
Viet Nam has been signatory of 17 bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements and active in promoting negotiations on new trade deals with the European Free Trade Association, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates./.
