Top Vietnamese leader receives Korean minister

The Vietnamese leader expressed confidence that Kim's visit would help strengthen economic cooperation and further advance bilateral ties.
He urged the minister to convey his regards to South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and expressed his belief that South Korea would continue to achieve greater successes under President Lee's leadership.
To Lam reaffirmed that Viet Nam always attaches importance to its relationship with South Korea and wishes to further expand cooperation across politics, economy, trade, investment, science and technology, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
He undercored the importance of realizing the bilateral trade target of US$150 billion by 2030 in a balanced and sustainable manner, while expressing hope that the Northeast Asian nation would continue to support Viet Nam in implementing its national development strategies.
Welcoming the close cooperation between Viet Nam's Ministry of Construction and the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, To Lam urged the two ministries to enhance experience sharing and practical cooperation in infrastructure development, renewable energy, shipbuilding technology, and high-quality human resources development—areas identified as priorities in Viet Nam's development agenda.
For his part, Kim conveyed President Lee's greetings to General Secretary and President To Lam and other senior Vietnamese officials.
Congratulating Viet Nam on its recent socio-economic achievements, the minister expressed confidence that under General Secretary and President To Lam's leadership, Viet Nam would continue making steady progress toward its goals of becoming a developing country with modern industry by 2030 and a high-income developed country by 2045.
Kim also presented a letter from President Lee to the Vietnamese leader, reaffirming South Korea's commitment to further promoting bilateral cooperation.
The letter emphasized South Korea's readiness to share its development experience in areas where it has strengths and Viet Nam has demand, while affirming that South Korea remains a reliable partner in supporting Viet Nam's national development goals./.
