Tran reiterated that Viet Nam treasures and wishes to strengthen substantive and effective cooperation with Jordan across all fields.

He reaffirmed Viet Nam's consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification, standing ready to make active and responsible contributions to peace, stability and cooperation on the basis of respect for the United Nations Charter and international law.

Viet Nam expects to expand cooperation with Jordan in trade and investment, tourism, agriculture, education and training, and healthcare, while promoting ties in fields where their strengths are complementary, said the top Vietnamese legislator.

He suggested Jordan provide more assistance for Viet Nam in technologies to combat salinity intrusion using coral reef-based solutions in the Mekong Delta.

El Qadi, for his part, described the country as a "miracle of economic and technological development," affirming Jordan's desire to expand "unlimited" cooperation with Viet Nam.

He highly appreciated Viet Nam's balanced stance and support on the Palestinian issue and underscored Jordan's willingness to serve as a bridge for cooperation with Viet Nam in promoting peace, reconstruction and development in the Middle East.

The two legislators vowed to further strengthen political and diplomatic relations, enhance all-level delegations and promote partnerships between specialized committees of the two parliaments.

They underlined the need to support of citizens and businesses of both countries, including the opening of permanent representative offices, and promote their respective roles as bridges linking Viet Nam with the Middle East, Jordan with ASEAN, and the two regions.

They pledged to foster strong ties at multilateral parliamentary forums such as the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA).

The two sides agreed to speed up the early signing and ratification of important bilateral agreements to improve the legal framework and facilitate cooperation.

Following the talks, the two leaders signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the National Assembly of Viet Nam and the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, creating a framework to advance parliamentary partnership in the coming period./.
