The visit will be made at the invitation of Lord Speaker of the House of Lords John Mcfall and Speaker of the House of Commons Linsay Hoyle.

Since the Viet Nam and UK established diplomatic relations in 1973, bilateral trade cooperation has been developing ceaselessly, with the former gaining more than US$4.8 billion from exporting goods to the latter in the first four months of 2022.

Last year, the two-way trade reached nearly US$6.6 billion, up 17 percent from 2020, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Of the figure, Viet Nam's export value exceeded US$5.7 billion, up 16.4 percent year-on-year, said the ministry, attributing the increase to the UK-Viet Nam Free Trade Agreement (UKVFTA).

Both countries are looking forward to celebrating their 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2023./.
