Top legislator meets President Putin in Moscow
VGP – Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man met with President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on September 10.
In a cordial and frank atmosphere, the top Vietnamese legislator conveyed the greetings from General Secretary and President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to President Putin.
Tran, who holds one of the top four positions in Viet Nam, briefed Putin about the outcomes of his ongoing three-day official visit to Russia and future cooperation orientations between the two countries' parliamentary bodies.
President Putin expressed thanks for General Secretary and President To Lam and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh for their greetings and extended his invitation to the two Vietnamese leaders to visit Russia at convenient times.
Putin also extended his sympathies to the Party, State and people of Viet Nam over the devastating consequences caused by Yagi typhoon.
He spoke highly of the outcomes of Tran's visit, calling on the two sides' parliaments to continue strengthening legislative ties, thereby contributing to promoting the Viet Nam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership in a practical and effective fashion.
