To Lam expressed thanks to the China's senior leaders for assisting Viet Nam in overcoming the devastating consequences of typhoon Yagi.

He conveyed his sympathies to Chinese senior leaders and localities over the losses from recent strong typhoons.

To Lam congratulated He Wei on his appointment as the Chinese Ambassador to Viet Nam, expressing his wish that the diplomat will uphold his bridging role in making practical contributions to promoting the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and nations.

The Vietnamese Party, State and people place importance on developing the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China, considering it as a strategic choice and a top priority of Viet Nam's overall foreign policy, stated the Vietnamese leader.

He expressed his satisfaction on active and comprehensive development in the bilateral ties, especially achievements via historic high-ranking visits.

To Lam pledged to build a Viet Nam-China Community with a shared future, bringing practical benefits for their peoples as well as maintaining peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.

He Wei, for his part, vowed to do his utmost to promote the Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the Viet Nam-China Community with a shared future towards a more intensive, substantive and effective manner.

He promised to uphold his coordinating role and urge Chinese ministries, agencies and localities to work with the Vietnamese side to implement high-level common perception and agreements reached by both sides.

The Ambassador affirmed to continue to increase regular high-level contacts to strengthen political trust, expand cooperation in defense and security as well as enhance economic, cultural and social cooperation.

He Wei underlined the need that both countries should strengthen people-to-people exchanges, maintain close coordination at multilateral mechanisms and international forums; and jointly control and resolve disagreements at sea on the basis of high-level agreements and common perceptions, for the happiness of their peoples and for peace and stability in the region.

The same day, To Lam received credentials of Austrian and Sri Lankan Ambassadors and credentials of 14 concurrent ambassadors from Costa Rica, Malta, Sudan, Zambia, Mauritius, Uganda, Ghana, Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Rwanda, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Botswana and Bhutan./.
