VGP – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on January 12 announced top 10 culture, sports and tourism events of 2018.
Viet Nam wins AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 trophy after a decade-long wait
Culture:
1. Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2018
2. Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark recognized as the global Geopark by UNESCO.
3. The unique contemporary art space at the National Assembly Building
4. The title 'People's Artisan' in intangible cultural heritage granted for the first time
5. Vietnamese beauty earned a niche in the global map of beauty.
Sports:
6. Asian Games 18- the most successful Asian Games of Viet Nam’s sports
7. Viet Nam’s male football team won AFF Suzuki Cup trophy after a decade-long wait.
8. Viet Nam became the runner-up at the Asian Football Confederation U23 Championship for the first time.
Tourism:
9. Viet Nam welcomed a record number of 15.5 million foreign tourists in 2018.
10. For the first time Viet Nam was named Asia's Leading Destination at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2018.
