To Lam to visit Mongolia, Ireland and France next week

VGP – General Secretary and President To Lam will pay State visits to Mongolia and Ireland, and official visit to France from September 30 to October 7, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Sunday.

General Secretary and President To Lam

The visits will be made at the invitations of Mongolian President Uhknaagiin Khurelsukh, Irish President Michael D. Higgins and French President Emmanuel Macron.

During his stay in France, the top Vietnamese leader will attend the 19th Francophonie summit.

Viet Nam and Mongolia established diplomatic relations on November 17, 1954. Both sides are traditional partners.

Viet Nam and Ireland set up diplomatic ties on April 5, 1996. The former is one the nine official development assistance recipients of the former.

Viet Nam and France established diplomatic relations on April 12, 1973 and lifted up ties to strategic partnership in 2013.

France is Viet Nam's second largest trading partner in the EU./.
