Three telecoms companies listed in top 20 Most Valuable ASEAN Telecom Brands

VGP – Viettel, Mobiphone and Vinaphone were listed among top 20 Most Valuable ASEAN Telecom Brands 2016.

Viettel ranked seven, up 17 positions compared to the previous year, assessed with US$973 million, up 68% and rated with A .

Mobifone jumped four steps and estimated with US$539 million, up 76%, rated with A while Vinaphone was assessed with US$282 million, up 47% and rated with A.

Viettel and Mobifone were also listed among top five Best Performing Brands. Unitel, a branch of Viettel in Laos saw an increase of 106% in trademark value, reaching US$123 million.

The list of the top 20 most valuable ASEAN telecom brands was made by Brand Finance, based on tracking and analyzing the activities of telecom powerhouses across the region.

Viettel, Mobifone and Vinaphone ranked 93rd, 125th and 167th in the global rankings.
