Thai Prime Minister embarks on official visit to Viet Nam
VGP - Prime Minister of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul is on a two-day official visit to Viet Nam where he will participate in the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung.

Anutin is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Suphajee Suthumpun, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Paradorn Prissananantakul, Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Adul Boonthumjaroen, Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phancharoenworakul, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Minister of Energy Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry Varawut Silpa-archa, and Thai Ambassador to Viet Nam Urawadee Sriphiromya.
Rachada Dhnadirek, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, said the Thai Prime Minister will hold talks with Vietnamese leaders and meet with Thai companies operating in Viet Nam, as both countries seek to expand cooperation beyond diplomatic goodwill into practical projects.
The Spokesperson said the trip's objective, as instructed by Prime Minister Anutin to relevant ministries, is to identify areas that can be immediately promoted with Viet Nam, including expanding trade, promoting investment, logistics connectivity, clean energy, food security, and human resource development.
Earlier, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung highlighted the significance and goal of Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's official visit to Viet Nam to attend the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum in Ha Noi.
Pham described the visit as a historic milestone of great significance as the two countries are celebrating the 50th founding anniversary of diplomatic ties this year, with both governments and citizens marking the occasion through a series of events.
The trip, which comes just 10 days after the official visit to Thailand by Vietnamese General Secretary and President To Lam and his spouse, is a clear and vivid signal of Thailand's high regard for the relationship and its determination to drive forward a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership sealed in 2025.
Thailand and Viet Nam aim to increase bilateral trade to US$25 billion, while Thai figures show current trade at roughly US$24 billion. The two countries have pledged to pursue cooperation under the "Three Connectivity" strategy, encompassing production connectivity, infrastructure connectivity, and transformation connectivity./.
